Unusual Black Onyx Necklace and Earrings

Such a lovely set of black onyx necklace and earrings This set is unusual in that most black onyx is solid black and often dyed, but this set has the banded markings of natural onyx In the necklace, the larger beads have distinct markings, while the small ones are solid black The markings of the earrings are finer and more delicate, as one would expect I cannot detect whether or not the earring wires are sterling silver, but, at the very least, they are hypo-allergenic - I am instantly allergic to any metal other than silver or gold Necklace length, including the closure, is 19" Necklace - larger stones are 1 1/8" long Earrings - stones are the same as the larger stones of the necklace - 1 1/8" long - and the complete earring length from where they hang from your ear is 2 3/8". This measurement includes the stones I bought this set at a little boutique San Francisco and wore it only once with a black velvet gown, to a New Year's Eve ball - I felt elegant and had a wonderful time.
