V. Dainty Metal Pendant Necklace

This vintage necklace is made of a silver tone metal and has a c clasp closure. The chain is lightweight and dainty, and is strung through a hole in the top of the pendant. I'm not exactly sure what the pendant is supposed to be as far as shape or utility, and I haven't had much luck figuring it out. To describe it, the pendant is a long metal cylinder with a wider, rounded bottom. Sort of like an upside-down nail without the pointy end. There is normal wear, including superficial marks in the surface of the pendant metal, but no issues affecting wearability.
