V. Oscar de la Renta Studio Black Velvet Dress

This vintage dress by Oscar de la Renta Studio is made of several different materials that break down as follows: body (acetate/rayon - 65/35), skirt (acrylic/wool - 80/20), lining (100% acetate). While the body (top) is a dark velvet, the skirt is softer and has more movement. The dress has short sleeves, shoulder pads (that could be removed if you really want), and a defined waist with a front gathering of the skirt. There is a long zipper in the back with a hook and eye closure at the top. There is also an inner belt/sturdy fabric strip that has 2 hook and eye closures, presumably to help prevent the zipper from pulling. The lining had a vertical tear in the front but has a patch affixed to the back of the tear on either side (see pic 7). The dress has normal wear and though it is repaired, the tear in the lining is the most obvious issue that might affect wearability for you, though it isn't visible when the dress is worn. The hem of the dress falls around the knees. This piece is marked as a (vintage) size 14 and measures like a (modern) size medium/large (10/12).
