V. Uncas Bakelite Cabochon Floral Ring

This vintage ring by Uncas Manufacturing Company is made of a gold tone metal and has an adjustable "coil"-style adjustable band. The interior of the band is stamped with the Uncas maker's mark (a letter U with an arrow going through it - see pic 5). The ring topper has an open cut-out style petal border with a milky white Bakelite cabochon in the center. The cabochon has a slight chatoyancy and has fine internal "crazing" cracks making their way to the surface in some areas (see pic 6). This is as a result of time and the material, not as a result of damage. The cabochon is warm to the touch. The ring has normal wear, including tone darkening on the back of the band and some superficial marks on the Bakelite cabochon (unrelated to the crazing), but the ring is still very wearable.
