VINTAGE 1950s-1970s STEIFF 12" Lying Tiger, No Tags, Mohair, Glowing Eyes.

Vintage Plush 12" Lying Tiger made by Steiff from Germany. The plush is made of Mohair and is in fine condition with little wear, noting there is repaired damage to one ear. This tiger has Glow-In-The-Dark eyes. Stripes are air brushed on. Note that the ear button and tag marking the plush as a Steiff is missing. The tag is usually in the left ear where there has been some damage. Possible the tag was torn off as the ear has been re-stitched and is noted in the photos posted. It was like this when I originally bought the item and I have made no attempt to fix it. Other than that this item is in fine condition. Due to absence of the ear tag, references were used to determine age. Could be as old as 1950s, but most likely 1960s-1970s. This is more a collector piece and I do not recommend it for a child as the eyes can be pulled out and swallowed by a young child. Pre-owned but carefully used. There may be some minor marks or rubs.
