A Vintage Puffer Right out of the 1970's! Made in Canada by David S. Reid "The Down People", a famous Canadian skiwear company that supplied Canada’s national ski team for many years and Olympic Gold medallist Nancy Greene. Now a vintage collectible on Ebay.
Was my husband's YOUTH / BOYS SZ 16 as marked but I wore it as a LADIES SMALL, but alas doesn't fit anymore! Photos show measurements with tape, approx 20 inches pit-to-pit. In good shape considering its age and how we loved to keep cosy in it. Some signs of wear and stains, pictured on front, but blends in well with the dark blue so does not distract. Two small serger fixes by side pocket as pictured. Zippers work. Please see all photos for condition. From our smoke-free and pet-free home.
History .. DAVID S. REID DOWN ERA: A staple in the winter Eaton’s catalogue as well as skiing specialty shops across Canada, David S. Reid was synonymous with skiwear in the 1970s, especially the iconic quilted, tapered pullover jacket filled with premium-quality down. His clothing line supplied Canada’s national ski team for many years, winning the endorsement of a young Olympic gold and silver medallist named Nancy Greene.
