VINTAGE Altonaer (Hamburg) Germany, Volksbank "The People's Bank" Bottle Opener

VINTAGE Altonaer (Altona/Hamburg) Germany, Volksbank ("The People's Bank") bottle opener. Silver tone metal. The "V" on the one side is the Volksbank logo and the other side depicts the Hamburg shield, a triple-turreted castle. I believe this bottle opener was given by the Volksbank (The People's Bank), possibly as a promotional item. Altona was founded in 1535 as a village of fishermen in what was then Holstein-Pinneberg. Altona was under Danish rule for much of its history before becoming an independent German city, Altona only joined Hamburg in 1937. Excellent vintage condition.
