Pair of primitive salt and pepper wood carvings of a couple, likely from St-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec, Canada. These are a form of folk art , the man is depicted wearing a hat and holding a fish, while the woman is shown with a shawl or apron. The bases of the carvings are marked with the (possible) signature "D. Daigle." •Good pre-owned condition.
