Vintage HMQ Henry Marcus Quackenbush metal spring jointed nutcracker and two nut picks.
Vintage HMQ silver tone metal nutcracker. It is marked with the initials HMQ at the top, which identifies it as having been made by the Henry Marcus Quackenbush Co. out of New York, which has a long rich history dating back to the late 1800s. From the mid century, it is beautifully patterned and has a lovely shine.
In 1913, Henry Marcus Quackenbush of Herkimer, New York, invented and patented the spring-jointed nutcracker and a nutpick, designs still in wide use today. Over the years, his company produced over 200 million, and the metal nutcrackers are seen today stamped with the hallmark "HMQ".
Good vintage condition. Two nut pick are also included with the nutcracker.
Please remember when purchasing vintage items that they have a history attached to them and often show wear, which I do my very best to disclose.
