This vintage ceramic figurine features three white lucky cats with the welcoming gesture, making it a perfect addition to any Feng Shui collection. It is a beautiful decoration but also a perfect piggy money bank to store your savings. Original rubber stopper on the bottom.
Made in Taiwan.
The Maneki-Neko ('beckoning cat') is a common Japanese figurine that is often believed to bring good luck to the owner.
The figurine depicts a cat, traditionally a calico Japanese Bobtail, with a paw raised in a beckoning gesture. Maneki Neko is a well-known symbol of good fortune displayed in restaurants, cafes, shops, and homes around the world, but especially popular in Japanese culture. They are traditionally white cats, made of porcelain, and decorated with gold paws, big yellow and black eyes, and patches on the arms. You may see some Maneki Nekos holding things in their paws for wealth and prosperity.
Excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing that I can see.
Please remember when purchasing vintage items that they have a history attached to them and often show wear, which I do my very best to disclose.
