VINTAGE Original Chokin Art Collection Metallic Finely Etched Crane Wall Art

Original Chokin Art Collection signed beautiful vintage framed gold and silver tone wall picture with two finely etched cranes in flight. Tsuru, (The Crane), has always been a strong symbol of success and good fortune in Japanese culture. There is a sticker on the back stating "Genuine gold and silver leaf overlaid frame". The frame measures approximately 12" x 13.5". The ancient art of Chokin, historically used to decorate the armament of The Samurai Warriors during the feudal period of Japan (1192-1858). Delicate handcraft of gilding copper plate with gold and silver. Great vintage condition, a truly elegant piece. There is some minor wear to the frame and a minor mark to the mat on the picture.
