Interesting vintage souvenir salt and pepper shakers from the Bahamas. They gave the appearance of bongo drums. The phrase on one is Quo fata Ferunt, or "whither the Fates carry [us]." That phrase, taken from Virgil's Aeneid, would become the official motto for Bermuda. Constructed of wood, rope and metal. Unique filling system. (See photos) •Good pre-owned condition.
