VTG Donna Morgan for Maggy black sheath dress w/ beaded bolero jacket, 14, EUC

This formal cocktail set by Donna Morgan for Maggy was purchased from an exclusive boutique on Sussex Drive for my dad's funeral in 1989 - I distinctly remember suffering sticker shock a month later, but at the time it seemed like a good idea. I thought I'd be able to wear something like this for any number of occasions, but as it turns out, that number was zero. It's beautifully cut, fully lined, and the fabric is a finely woven polyester crepe - there's no stretch at all, so please check measurements carefully. The dress is a simple, sleeveless black sheath with a flattering high-waisted fit that skims the body; the hem ends slightly above the knee, so not quite a mini, but not exactly midi either. The bolero jacket adds a bit of bling with the subtly beaded collar and cuffs. Only worn once then dry-cleaned, this appears to be in perfect condition. It's a great little cocktail set that could work for many occasions, either together or separately, including funerals if you happen to need that. Marked size 14, it fits true to size - do check measurements to be sure.
