VTG. Early-Mid Century PETIT POINT EVENING BAG/CLUTCH Black/Florals, Gold Metal

Beautifully crafted floral tapestry in Victorian/Edwardian style. Both sides are worked in the same micro petit-point pattern on a black petit-point background. The gusset is also fully covered with petit-point in a matching floral motif. A tiny gold cord piping runs between the front and back faces and the 1” gusset. The 14” gold tone snake-link chain handle has a patina but is in very good vintage condition. The textured gold tone hinged frame and kiss clasp are untarnished condition with two slight marks on one side (last pic). The interior mauve/grey fabric is very clean with only very faint signs of use at bottom. This little jewel measures 14.6 cm. (5¾”) x 12 cm. (4¾”) and comes from a smoke-free pet-free home.
