Being a result of the Great Depression – when people looked for style at an affordable price – you did not have to break the bank in order to buy a piece. At that point, people wanted fine jewelry, but the problem was that they could not afford it. Many designers still kept making their luxury pieces, but the masses would barely buy them. This is why Trifari designers came up with a type of jewelry that looked luxurious but wasn’t as expensive.
