VTG Victorian Style Cookie Jar Canister Embossed Roses Rose Bud Finial 1950s Lef

Hard to find Lefton Americana cookie jar Made in Japan by PY as part of their “Regal Rose” line in 1950s. Hand painted, raised 3D design of roses, buds and foliage on both sides of the jar and on the lid. . The piece is marked “ESD” on the underside - ESD is the Canadian importer for Lefton products. Very good condition for ceramic that is almost 80 years old! Shiny surface, no paint loss or any other wear. There are crazing lines and a small area with missing glaze on the rim. There is a small mark on the bottom rim of the jar. Fully functional and great presentation. Please review pictures. It measures 6 1/4” in diameter (without handles) and 6 7/8" wide including handles 5 1/2" tall (without lid) and 7 1/4" tall (to the top of the rose finial knob) The piece weighs is around 2.7 lbs.
