Along with this responsibility, he vowed to uphold the teachings of the thousand buddhas throughout this entire era. It is believed that Vajrapani possesses several pure lands, but only a select few who know the paths can access them. His personal dwelling is referred to as Chang Lo Chen in Tibetan or Adákavati in Sanskrit. Vajrapani's deep blue color signifies his constant immersion in the blissful Truth Body or Dharmakaya. Despite his fierce appearance, his wrathful demeanor serves solely to safeguard the dharma from those who seek to harm it. The vajra he holds in his right hand symbolizes the profound knowledge that forms the essence of the Buddha's teachings. It is common to see Vajrapani depicted in a triad alongside Avalokiteshvara and Manjushri, collectively known as Rigsum Gonpo. This triad represents the three essential qualities needed for enlightenment: compassion, wisdom, and power.
