Very old Asian glove box coffin style

This could be used for pencils, paint brush. I have no idea how old it would be. There is tons of rework on the hinges and locking mechanism. There are sections where the lacquered paint is peeling. The top shows a scene of birds and landscape in the background. There seems to be a copper finish underneath which I will leave as is for fear of ruining the finish. Definitely a wonderful show piece for a vintage office. The lock mechanism is sticking out and not functional. There is no key. It measures 11.5" x 3.5" x 3.5"
