Vibrant Yellow and Orange Swirl Art Vase

Stunning modernist midcentury Murano art glass vase attributed to Fratelli Toso, circa 1950. Artistic bulbous vessel is crafted of hand blown glass with a beautiful looping swirl pattern in bright yellows, orange, reds, and black with a group of signature murrhine millefiori canes on two sides. The thick spread rim is a vivid dark rose red, revealing contrasting fine layers of cased glass around the rim. Base is polished smooth, with a bit of an indentation from the pontil. Piece is unsigned - which is typical for Fratelli Toso glass. Extraordinary vintage vase combines age-old techniques with bold form and color. This modern centerpiece cannot be ignored.
