Victorian Large Mourning Pendant Gutta Percha Carved Grapes

An incredible piece: incredibly rare to find in such amazing condition and such a large one!! High relief grape cluster motif, carved from Gutta Percha in my opinion. This item dates to the late Victoria era: 1870’s to 1890’s. It still has the original carved large bale on it. It is black at a glance, but has a tinge of deep green to it when viewed closer and in bright light. About 2.5” excluding bale or 3” including bale by 1 &3/4” at the widest. In excellent antique condition. I have not cleaned it: could use a light careful clean. No damage or breaks.
