Victorian Sterling Silver Lapis Large Stone Brooch Pin

The Lapis in this piece is beautiful! This brooch was flipped or converted in antiquity…looking like the early 20’s based on the first style of rollover clasp used. The brooch shows evidence at the back of the pin being in the opposite direction, plus there is a very slight upward bend to hide a little hole that would have had a drop. (Switching sides would have impractical to keep a drop) All that aside, this antique brooch shows very well and is very obviously an oldie! Unmarked: this has been acid tested to confirm silver 1 &3/4” by 1 &1/4” 10.7 grams Good antique condition with medium patina
