Beautiful vintage 10 piece, two person Shakespeare's Sonnets Anne Hathaways Cottage dish set manufactured by Kensington in England circa the 1960’s. The edges feature a lovely scalloped and ribbed design in white, with a gorgeous transferware border. The front of the dishes feature various transferware image scenes of William Shakespeare's wife Anne Hathaway's cottage displaying trees, with colours of green, yellow, red, and blue throughout. All dishes are marked ‘Shakespeare's Sonnets - Anne Hathaways Cottage - A Genuine Hand Engraving Decorated Underglaze Ironstone - Made in England - Kensington - R2815’. This nearly complete two person setting includes; 2 dinner plates, 2 side/dessert/bread + butter plates, 2 berry bowls, 2 soup/cereal bowls, and 2 teacups/mugs.
