Stunning twelve piece set of Copeland Spode Romney dishes featuring the unique “gadroon” shape displaying lovely florals in shades of pinks, yellows, blues, greys and purples on a bright white base! Originally produced from 1952 to 1971, this vintage set of earthenware china makes a bold statement at the dinner table. All pieces appear to have barely ever been used, however there are slight manufacturing marks and crazing. The large floral arrangements that lie at the center of this set of china were designed by Harry Hammersley, who was considered one of the last great Victorian artists employed by Copeland and who specialized in subjects of fruits and florals. Consisting of two dinner plates, two lunch plates, two dessert plates, two berry bowls, two handled soup bowls and two saucers. Absolutely gorgeous and lovely six piece place setting each, for a duo! All pieces are photographed in pairs.
This set is in excellent condition; no chips, cracks, repairs, etc. however there are minor manufacturing marks such as a glaze bump on the edge of one salad plate, and one flea bite on the underside of one dessert plate, all seen in the last collage photo
