Vintage 1920s-50s French enamel lunch carrier / mess tin with two compartments

I have seen the style mostly listed from 1920s/1930s, but it was also made up to the 50s I believe, so I can't give an exact age. A snack or side would be placed in the top compartment, and the main food would go in the compartment below. The food could be removed to be reheated, or the owner would place the mess tin directly into boiling water to reheat it that way. It has been well loved and shows some signs of use, including small amounts of corrosion and some staining. One clip is also not as secure as the other. It could still be usable with a very good cleaning and tightening the clip, but I would suggest this be used as a display / conversation piece instead. It does not have a handle.
