Vintage 1940s Dominion Rubber Company World War Two Navy Rubberized Coat from 1943. Unlined. It has riveted air holes at underarms for breathability. Large outer pockets. Approximate Measurements: 38 chest, 47" length, according to label, But laid flat, it measures: Chest: 44 1/2" Waist: 48" Hips: to 50" Length: 44 1/2" from mid shoulder Raglan sleeves so a bit difficult to measure sleeve length and shoulder span, but sleeves are approx 21 1/2" long from edge of shoulder curve Shoulders approx 16 1/2" Condition: good to fair. Held back from very good to excellent to mint by visible wear leading to several places that look like cracks showing the white base of the material. Clearly, it was worn and used during service. The fabric is not overly dry or stiff. The surface rubber coating has discoloured with age, though, so the appearance is a bit dirty looking from certain angles. A hidden patch repair under back vent, some small worn spots inside. What looks like paint spots near lower hem. Overall, a rare and still wearable WWII era coat! Original serial numbers stamped inside.
