Vintage 1940s RCMP Elgin Duo Compact

Rare and unique Vintage 1940s Elgin Duo Compact engraved with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police emblem and motto, as well as the initials "V. S.". Based on research into this design in vintage Elgin catalogues, I believe this dates to 1940. Unique shape and art deco design. Very good vintage condition. The compact has a small number of minor scratches and marks/nicks on brass exterior, and slightest whisper of residue of former rouge and powder. It is missing the interior mesh powder sifter. Still, it is an amazing and collectible piece.
