This stunning vintage coat from the late 1950s to early 1960s is a luxurious piece of fashion history, styled by Lawrence of London and sold at the iconic Lord & Taylor Fifth Avenue. The coat is made from rich fuchsia velvet, lined with “Millium” fabric — a lightweight, insulated lining patented in the mid-20th century to provide warmth without bulk.
The silhouette is loose and flowing with wide sleeves, a dramatic oversized hood, and a button closure at the neckline. The coat drapes beautifully and fits a range of sizes due to its free waist and hip design. Perfect for layering over evening wear, it has a glamorous Old Hollywood look.

@thekashancloset me again, I see wear/velvet being imperfect on the right shoulder of the coat... am I seeing correctly?

@verochiccloset hello, yes! The fabric has some indentation on the shoulder. The condition truly is excellent, no rips or tears, stains.

Or sorry the indentation is near the inside of the back of the neck/collar rather than the shoulder.
