Vintage 1950’s Brown Waffle-Style Dress

This unique dress is quintessential 50’s and in a rare large size! The construction is solid as is to be expected from the Vivian Lee brand. I found one small coffee colour stain as noted in the photo. Now, I will say the fabric has me a bit stumped. It is a taffeta like texture, with the multicolour sheen that one would expect from taffeta. What I can’t tell is if the panels of an alternating colour are purposeful or light/age staining.
