This is a fairly significant set in terms of 1950s design history. This sugar and creamer designed by Schonwald for Fairwood in Germany was entered in the 1957 Milan Triennali and won a Gold Metal for Design. Condition: In good vintage condition with light wear, no chips or cracks, see pictures for more details. Dimensions; Sugar - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 4" Creamer - 4 1/8" x 3" x 3 1/2" Background: The Milan Triennali is an international design competition that was established in 1930. It had quite an interesting and at times rocky history, particularly in the 1950s and 1960s. It was they competition to participate in, and was seen as a very significant influence on the design world. After 1968 it's significance quickly degraded due to a variety of outside influences and the changing international markets. Items are in vintage condition. I mention and picture any flaws I notice, please look at all photos. Note colours may vary from screen to screen. All orders are wrapped with care to ensure safe delivery. While I strive to ensure the item's age, there may be slight variations in the actual years. Measurements are taken manually, so please allow for slight discrepancies.
