Vintage 1950s MAYHEW MOTORS Herringbone Cotton Twill Shop Coat

Vintage 1950s MAYHEW MOTORS HBT (herringbone cotton twill) shop coat (mechanic's coat) with the original owner Steve's name patch still attached. Buttons down front but placket is covered. Awesome example of extremely well used vintage workwear!! The label is Reynolds Mfg Co Approximate Measurements of Garment laid flat Chest: 47 Natural waist just above where pockets start: 45" Hips: 46" Length: mid shoulder to front hem, which sits a bit longer: 41 1/2" Shoulders seam to seam : 18 3/4" Sleeve length from outer edge of shoulder seam: 23 1/4" Condition: this piece is VERY distressed, uncleaned on purpose, as early workwear is most desirable with original grease, stains, etc untouched. It's potentially still wearable, but it would be such a fantastic display piece: it has numerous repairs, a few unrepaired holes, numerous stains (grease, paint, and beyond). Obviously this piece was worn and repaired many many times! Truly, a very cool mechanic's coat!
