Vintage 1960s Bone Beaded Necklace

This vintage necklace is beaded and has a silver tone metal barrel clasp closure. The necklace is a bit weird and I wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but it's really grown on me. Most of the beads on this necklace are small and appear to be carved with small details. There are also flat disc beads (that show Haversian canals/round pockmarks) and a single round bead that I keep thinking of as a mill stone. There is varying tone change/discolouration throughout as the beads age, and I'm sure the right cleaning method could restore some of the original tone.
