Vintage 1970 Melamine Service Tray

This is such a pretty serving tray. There are a few I found in this series with different designs. This one is Springtime. Very good condition for its age. Love the flowers! The colours are bright, not faded. Easy to clean, wipe down with a dish cloth and dry it off. Tray should not be immersed in water as per the label on the back. Original label too! The back of the tray is also melamine with wood grain look to it that really looks real! I love it. The edge has a good lip around it so liquids won’t spill. A bit of the history that I know of this tray is it was owned by a nice older Scottish Lady named Annie. I used to be a taxi driver and she was one of our regular passengers. She had a fun giggle and carried that Scottish accent it was just a pleasure to chat with her. She would go visit her husband in the hospital when we picked her up and she’d always give you a Scottish shortbread cookie for a treat. Well at 99 she passed away and it was so sad to hear about it. The family had an estate sale and I was one of the first ones there when they opened the doors. She had two of these trays in her kitchen items so I took them both. I’m keeping the other one as a reminder of Annie. Its hard to pass this one on but away it goes to someone who will love it as I love mine. True story. I’m retired from driving and have to say I miss the people. Good size tray see photos for measurements. She had good quality things lots of Scottish items. Geez I just loved her. ❤️
