Add a touch of retro woodland charm to your kitchen with this vintage mushroom cookie jar, produced in Canada during the 1970s by Trio Trees Pottery. Known for their whimsical and colorful ceramic designs, Trio Trees was a Canadian pottery studio that specialized in hand-painted, textured kitchenware, often inspired by nature and folk-art motifs.
This particular jar features a richly glazed mushroom cap lid in earthy brown with an orange accent mushroom on top, and a body decorated with vibrant orange, black, and brown mushrooms surrounded by green foliage. A perfect example of the mid-century mushroom craze that was hugely popular in North American kitchens during the late 60s and 70s.
Condition: Overall excellent vintage condition. There are a couple of small chips on the inner rim of the lid (as shown in photos). To preserve the piece, super glue has been carefully applied to stabilize and prevent further chipping. Apart from this, the jar is in excellent shape – colors remain vibrant, the glaze has a glossy finish, and there are no cracks or repairs to the main body.
