Vintage 1970s Terry Davies Cooper Studio Pottery Lion Piggy Bank

A n awesome vintage 1970s studio pottery lion piggy bank with a "spaghetti" mane. This lion piggy bank has a slot on the top for coins/money but not way of removing them other than "breaking the bank." It was made by British-born studio stoneware potter Terry Davies. It probably dates to the 1970s. Terry Davies was born in Shrewsbury, England. His "journeyman" travels took him to study ceramics in France, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Japan, South America, and Italy where he settled.
