1971 (1871-) Canadian $1 British Columbia Centennial Specimen Silver Dollar is the first non-circulating silver dollar was issued to the public in 1971 as a commemorative for the entry of British Columbia into Confederation in 1871. Its design is based on the provincial arms. The obverse features a modification of the Machin portrait in which the portrait of the Queen Elizabeth II was reduced slightly and her hair extensively redone. This silver coin comes packaged in a leatherette clamshell case. Uncirculated Excellent vintage condition Composition: 50% silver, 50% copper Finish:Specimen Weight: 23.3 g Diameter: 36.07 mm
