Vintage 1980s DIANE FREIS Animal Print Knit & Georgette Top and Skirt Set

Absolutely wild top and skirt by Diane Freis. We've got this bonkers print, featuring little monkeys, birds and trees, all in really bold colours. There is also a turquoise and white stripe pattern for contrast. The top is a cream cotton knit, with polyester georgette ruffles at the neck and sleeves. Lightly padded shoulders. The sweater is appliquéd with monkeys and trees, and machine embroidered with polka dots. The skirt is a polyester georgette, with more of the same incredible prints, and ruffles. The waistband on the skirt is elastic. A rare and incredible set! Made in Hong Kong. Top: Body is 90% cotton, 10% rayon, Sleeves are 100% polyester. Skirt: 100% polyester. No size tags, please see the measurements for best fit! Vintage, very good condition. Gently worn and very well cared for. No flaws noted. The elastic in the waistband surely has less elasticity than it once did, but it's still going, and could easily be replaced in the future as needed. The label in the top is frayed at the edges, which doesn't affect the garment at all.
