Vintage 1988 F-18A Hornet Model Kit

This is an AMT/ERTL McDonnell Douglas F-18A Hornet plastic model kit.  The F-18A Hornet is an all-weather supersonic, twin-engined, carrier-capable, multirole combat aircraft.  The kit was originally released by LS in 1979.  The box is dated 1988.  The kit itself portrays an early F-18A before modifications to the fins and the addition of small finlets above the wing strakes.
