Vintage 40s Brass Filigree Compact

Beautiful old compact makeup, unsigned, based on my research vintage circa 40s attributed to Hampden Fifth Avenue, the compact is made out of brass with filigree like ornate top, I believe it used to have rhinestones but looks great without as well, compact shuts tightly and has a hinged inner lid for loose powder, the cartouche at the bottom is meant for owner's initials, presents with wear/aging signs , as seen in the photos. This compact will add a lovely accent to your vanity decor!
