Vintage Hand-Stitched Quilt – Perfect for Restoration or Repurposing This authentic vintage quilt, handmade by my grandmother in the 1950s or 1960s, tells a story of resilience and resourcefulness. Raised in outport Newfoundland and mother to 8 children, she lived on a fisherman’s wage and made use of every scrap of fabric she could find. The quilt is brightly coloured, hand-stitched, and carries the love and care of generations past. While it shows signs of wear, it still holds great potential for repair or repurposing by a skilled quilter or crafter.
