Vintage from the 1960s Advertising program for Vat 69 Finest Scotch Whiskey Distillers Jug / Water Pitcher Made by Wade Pottery of England Black white and gold 5.75 “ tall 5” wide and 3.5 circumference at mouth Interior has some marks, one that is a scratch on the enamelled surface Black spots are actually from the firing process when manufactured Please see photos Stamp on bottom was used in the 60s Other than the interior marks the jug is in very good vintage condition The story of Vat 69 is that the owners decided in 1882 to invite whiskey experts to sample 100 barrels of Sanderson whiskey and the winner of choice was Vat 69.
