Vintage 60s iconic Ray-Ban Aviators

Iconic 1960's gold frame B&L RAY-BAN aviator sunglasses with smokey-green/grey lens. Comes with original case. In those times (50+ years ago) the lenses were not etched as we know them to be today with modern genuine Ray-Bans. Ray-Bans from this era are sometimes referred to as "pre etching era". However upon closer examination there is actually an almost unnoticeable small "BL" etched on the lens close to where the arms attach. The upper bridge is engraved with B&L RAY-BAN USA on top and underneath engraved B&L RAY-BAN 58-14, the numbers being in reference to the size. These have Ray-Bans iconic G-15 lens. Which is the original solid lens of Ray-Ban. It is a smokey-green/grey lens color. Created for military use originally, the G-15 was first and foremost a performance lens to aid American pilots while flying at high altitudes. Absorbing 85% of visible light, blocking glare, and providing remarkable color contrast. Lenses are impact resistant. No noticeable scratches or scuffs on the lenses. There are no cracks or chips. Nose pads and temple tips are in great shape. Classic gold frames show extremely little signs of wear.
