Authentic vintage 1960s Canadiana religious artwork, from Quebec, signed by the artist Daniel Lareau. His similar work was usually stamped on the back HandiCrafts Artisanats Quebec, this one doesn't.
It is a painting of a child praying, on a blue porcelain tile, set over a long narrow triangular wood frame. The top has two little gold speckled mosaic tiles as a finishing touch. This was likely a gift for a First Communion based on the apparent age of the child.
There is a drilled hole on the back to hang on a wall but could also be displayed on a shelf.
Condition is very good with the painting showing minimal signs of wear, mostly on the left side of the arch; there are some paint chips on the edge of the tile, the wood frame has no noted issues.
Measurements are:
12" long x 6" wide
tile is 6" x 6"
