Vintage 70s 80s Cowichan Wool Hand-Knit Pattern Sweater Cardigan Lightning Zip

Size: no tag, fits L/XL (see measurements) Material: likely 100% wool Pit to Pit: 26.5” Highest point of shoulder to Bottom: 31” Pit to cuff: 17.5” (but don’t feel short, offset by the wider pit-to-pit) Description: incredible hand-knit cowichan style wool sweater / cardigan, incredible piece. No tags to date it, but the zipper is a big ellipse pull with "Lightning" printed in block letters and "LF" at the base, which stands for “Lightning Fastener Company,” a zipper company in Ontario that continued to function making zippers until its closure in 1981. So it’s likely pre-80s, absolutely true vintage! In awesome used shape, maybe some fade/pilling in places, odd loose/pulled thread in places; zipper material slightly loose from main sweater in one spot, but no biggies!
