Vintage 70s 80s Cowichan Wool Hand-Knit Sweater Cardigan Lightning Zipper Gown

Size: no tag, fits S (see measurements) Material: likely 100% wool Pit to Pit: 18.5” Highest point of shoulder to Bottom: 40” Pit to cuff: 17” Description: incredible hand-knit cowichan style wool long sweater / cardigan / house coat, sweet geometric crochet square pattern, a pair of lightning zippers, incredible piece. No tags to date it, but each zipper is a big ellipse pull with "Lightning" printed in block letters (& on the slider body too), which stands for “Lightning Fastener Company,” a zipper company in Ontario that continued to function making zippers until its closure in 1981. So it’s likely pre-80s, absolutely true vintage! In awesome used shape, maybe some fade/pilling in places, odd loose thread/misplaced stitch in places, but no biggies!
