HI there ! I am not sure as I bought it with the mark and am re-poshing cause it doesnt fit me. However I was able to reduce that white mark with a little TLC. I have just uploaded 4 new photos where you can see the mark is lessened. My guess is that it was white paint ? It looks better now but it's not completely gone as you can see.
