A smart dress coat made by the English fashion house Aquascutum in the 1980s and purchased at their flagship store in Regent Street. Pure wool in a striking fire engine red fabric. Double breasted with 6 buttons, deep patch lined pockets with flaps, large shawl collar and a removable belt. Comes in at the waist and drops in an A-line, deep back slit. Fully lined in matching fabric and beautifully made. Color: fire engine red Size: UK 10; length from shoulder seam to hem 38”, sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff 22”. Condition: very good, no pilling, rips or pulls, buttons intact. A half dozen micro stains which are hardly visible, and might come out with professional cleaning. Very slight wear on the back cuff of one sleeve. Smoke- and pet-free home.

gisele55 @erinisberg Pit to pit across the front is 21” and it’s 16 1/4” across the shoulders at the back (seam to seam). Let me know if you need any more information!

bytownegal Hello, you mention that the sleeves are 21” — that sounds quite short. Is that from the outside shoulder seam? Also, is the coat an orangey red or cherry red. Hard to tell in the pictures. Thanks so much

gisele55 @clemowking Hi and thanks for the interest. I’m out of town but will measure the coat when home tomorrow afternoon and message you. The coat is more orange red than cherry colored. Think traffic cone :)
