Vintage 925 Sterling Silver Italian Woven Rope Style Snake Chain Necklace

Vintage 925 sterling silver woven rope style chain necklace. Can be worn by itself, or with a pendant. Made in Italy. Has many stamps. 18" long. It is the most unusual snake type weaving I've ever seen. Don't know what word describes it. Looks unique and pretty. Due to it's design, it tends to go wavy when coiled (to put it in the bag for storage). But becomes smooth and flat around the neck when being worn.
