Vintage Abbeydale "Chrysanthemum" Imari Style 4" Ring Dish. Excellent Condition.

Here is a lovely Imari style ring or trinket dish made by Abbeydale Duffield Derbyshire in the Chrysanthemum pattern. The 4" scallop edged dish is heavily decorated with 22kt gold paint and features beautiful red chrysanthemum flowers on a black background. It is in very good vintage condition with minimal colour or gold loss and has no chips, cracks, or other signs of damage. Though Abbeydale was a separate company from Royal Crown Derby, it was founded by the former husband of Royal Crown Derby's founder. Its patterns were stylistically similar to Royal Crown Derby's Imari wares and it was distributed by prestigious retailers like Tiffany's. The Abbeydale company was taken over by Pearson & Co. (Chesterfield) Ltd. in the mid-1960s and ceased production in 1974.
