Vintage African Bone Craving With Handle

A vintage bone carving made in Africa, probably in the 1950s or 60s based on other items that were at the estate sale. Unlike most similar carvings it has a wooden handle; it depicts a figure (possibly a deity) with its arms across its stomach and wearing a headdress or crown. The piece with the handle stands 8 1/4" tall while the carving is 4 3/8" tall and about 1 1/8" by 1 1/4". I am unaware of what type of bone it is and of its precise origin in Africa.
