The very dark wood feels like a hardwood. Perfect for decorating a tropical inspired home, and a thoughtful housewarming present. Condition: The female piece with a hairline crack running the height of the base (you can see it in the very first image on the left piece). It looks treated or repaired so it may have been there since this piece was made. Otherwise a few small marks but nothing serious.
